According to the joint meeting on promoting transportation integration for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region held by Hebei Province recently, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Hebei plans to invest 450 billion yuan to promote the construction of infrastructure projects for the transportation integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, an increase of 18% over the 13th Five-Year Plan period, accounting for 75% of the total transportation investment.

Hebei will further deepen the interconnection of transportation infrastructure, improve the "four vertical, four horizontal and one ring" comprehensive transportation channel of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and strengthen the interconnection with Beijing-Tianjin expressways and trunk roads; accelerate the construction of the "four vertical and two horizontal" high-speed railway network, "four vertical and three horizontal" expressway network and grid-based trunk road network in Xiongan New Area; improve the infrastructure network and traffic organization plan of the Zhangjiakou competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics; build a world-class airport cluster and port cluster in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and deepen integrated operation management; improve the level of passenger transport integration in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and give priority to the development of passenger intermodal transport.

In order to eliminate the "gradient difference" in the integrated development of transportation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Hebei will accelerate the construction of four cross-border trunk roads between the northern three counties and Tongzhou District of Beijing; focus on the planning and construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, promote equalization of urban and rural transportation public services, and rely on the joint meeting mechanism and platform to strengthen coordination and linkage.

By 2025, the "four vertical, four horizontal and one ring" comprehensive transportation channels of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei will be more complete, and the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on rails" will be basically completed; the level of interconnection and interoperability of the highway network will be further improved, forming a "half-hour commuting circle" between Beijing, Tianjin and surrounding cities and counties, and a "one-hour traffic circle" between Beijing, Xiong'an, Tianjin, Baoding and Tangshan, and basically building a safe, convenient, efficient, green and economical integrated transportation system for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration.
