Recently, the Zhongguancun Zhongke Highway Maintenance Industry Technology Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) held the first annual meeting of the Maintenance Alliance and the Four New Technologies Seminar in Xiamen, Fujian. The meeting focused on the practice and application of technologies such as "new technologies, new processes, new materials, and new equipment" in maintenance, and held a plaque awarding ceremony for the four newly added sub-alliance organizations of transportation products, bridge maintenance, special road pavement, and smart maintenance.

Zhou Wei, former chief engineer of the Ministry of Transport, and Zhang Jinquan, president of the Ministry's Highway Research Institute, exchanged views at the meeting. After decades of rapid development, my country's highway transportation construction has entered a period of development with equal emphasis on construction and maintenance in terms of concepts and needs. Especially after the release of the Outline for Building a Strong Transportation Nation, higher requirements such as smart and advanced, green and intensive have been put forward for the highway maintenance industry, bringing new development opportunities to the alliance and its member units.

It is understood that since its establishment in 2016, the alliance has always adhered to the principle of "taking scientific and technological innovation as the guide, focusing on scientific and technological research and development, achievement conversion and application management, and creating safe, efficient, scientific, convenient, economical, green and environmentally friendly transportation maintenance and management as the goal, and is committed to strengthening collaboration, innovation and linkage among enterprises, promoting interaction between highway maintenance member units and the government, integrating and coordinating advantageous resources, promoting the development and growth of the transportation industry, and promoting the highway maintenance industry to move towards high-quality development.

In the next step, the alliance will further expand its member units, continue to build a collaborative innovation and development platform for the maintenance industry, and create better development conditions for member units.
