On April 16, Jiangsu’s transportation system launched the “Study Party History, Praise the Centennial and Open a New Chapter” campaign, encouraging party organizations at all levels and the majority of party members in the industry to draw strength from the party’s extraordinary century-long history, and to take the lead in fulfilling the new important mission of “striving to be a model, striving to be a demonstration, and being in the forefront”, providing strong political guarantees for the construction of Jiangsu’s transportation modernization demonstration zone.

At the launching ceremony, eight transportation units including Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation, Jiangsu Provincial Postal Administration, Jiangsu Transportation Holdings Co., Ltd., Eastern Airport Group Co., Ltd., Provincial Port Group Co., Ltd., and Provincial Railway Group Co., Ltd. and three media units jointly signed a joint action initiative for studying the history of the Party. A series of themed publicity activities entitled "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party: Looking at Jiangsu Online in Transportation" were launched simultaneously, covering five sections: expressways, high-speed railways, ports, canals, and airports. The activities will last until September, and through experiential themed interviews, they will comprehensively display the achievements of Jiangsu's transportation industry and tell the story of Jiangsu's transportation in the new era.

Lu Yongquan, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation and Director of the Provincial Railway Office, proposed that this activity is a vivid practice of creating a new brand of joint study and construction of party history education. The province's transportation industry must make new breakthroughs in grasping the overall situation and doing its own thing well, and accelerate the construction of a modern demonstration zone for transportation; make new breakthroughs in focusing on key tasks and doing practical things for the people, comprehensively promote the implementation of national strategies in the field of transportation, and vigorously promote the effective connection between the construction of a strong transportation province and rural revitalization; deepen party building to lead the implementation of the ten major actions of "four firsts", tell good transportation stories, draw strength from history, and gather a strong synergy to promote transportation development.

Yang Liqun, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, said that this theme propaganda is very meaningful for mobilizing and motivating the transportation industry in the province to study the history of the Party, understand the Party's ideology, do practical things and open up new situations. All media should carefully plan and select topics, report well on the active exploration and remarkable achievements of the province's transportation industry in serving the construction of a "strong, prosperous, beautiful and high-level" new Jiangsu since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully publicize the specific measures taken by transportation departments at all levels to solve the difficulties at the grassroots level and the worries of the masses with heart, emotion and effort, and build a consensus on striving for advancement.

Li Xinping, executive deputy secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee's Provincial Organ Working Committee, proposed that we should guide party members across the industry to appreciate the power of truth from the party's extraordinary century-long history, and appreciate the party's strong leadership from the great achievements of Jiangsu transportation, and promote the deep integration of party building and business with greater efforts, transform the party's organizational strength into combat effectiveness, development strength and competitiveness, and play a greater role in building a "strong, prosperous, beautiful and high-level" new Jiangsu.
